Why should you maintain a positive frame of mind?
Studies show, and statistics prove, that positive thinking improves your way of life, and has a beneficial effect on your body, and on your mind, as well.
A few days ago, I wrote about the necessity to maintain a positive attitude when confronted with a bad situation. Here are some easy techniques that you can practice on your own, free of charge.
They cost you nothing, so you pass them along to others.
11 Positive Thinking Tips to Keep Your Mind Healthy
Positive Thinking is a magical medicine that you can administer to anyone.
You can pass it along to your family, your friends, and to the world.
It is contagious. You can pass it along to anyone, but first, YOU must be Positive in your thinking.
The following Positive Thinking Tips will help you build a huge supply of Positive Energy so that it just flies off of you, and on to someone else. The beauty of Positive Thinking is that it costs nothing, … it’s free!
Anyone can use it, and anyone can pass it along, to anyone they come in contact with. These are some of the many ways that you can capture it, and store it, in Your magic wand.
1. Begin your day with 1 positive Thought
Begin every day with 1 positive affirmation. Repeat it 3 times before you get out of bed.
Find a positive or motivational quote to begin your day. Find it the day before. Write it down in your day planner or journal. Here’s one you can use tomorrow morning.
” Today I have the power to choose, and today I choose to be Happy and Positive “.
Repeat this affirmation at least 10 times during the next 24 hours. Change this affirmation every day OR use the same one for a few days. You will become such a positive person, that NOTHING will be able to hold you back.
If you don’t take control of your thoughts, someone else will.
Remember that this is for YOU!
2. Find Positive People to Hang Out With
This is surely number 2, but it is also an excellent contender for the number 1 position.
You are the product of the 5 people you spend most of your time with.
I cannot stress enough, how important this one is. Words will never do it justice. You must live through this one on your own to appreciate the power that it contains.
3. STAY AWAY from the negative thinkers
Get rid of the haters, in your life.
Get rid of the jealous people in your life.
Except for slightly infected close family members, dump these losers into the abyss, dump them into the ocean, dump them anywhere, just dump them!
Negative thinkers are like the plague, … except that they are even worst than the plague.
They never see a simple sunny day for what it is. They cannot contribute anything of value to anyone.
Walk away from these types, … better still, … RUN AWAY.
4. REMEMBER something positive you did yesterday
You have done many good things yesterday to help someone. Perhaps it was for one of your parents or one of your children.
Focus on what happened and why it makes you feel positive. Stop your world from spinning for 1 minute, only 60 seconds, and focus on this thought alone.
5. Focus on the Present
Focus on the moment. Focus all of your energy on what you are doing now.
Yesterday is GONE. Tomorrow is not here yet. You have nothing but NOW to work at.
Life is short and time travels fast. Soon this day will be over.
6. Contribute to your Community
Do something positive for someone. Help someone in need, once in a while. You don’t have to give away all your money to everyone. You don’t have to give away ALL your organs, … but for someone’s sake contribute a little.
Your little bit is always a lot for someone who has less than you.
7. Take Responsibility for Your Actions
Don’t play the victim game. Create your own way of thinking. Accept responsibility for what you do. If you broke it. fix it.
Don’t waste your time blaming someone else.
Find a positive thought, and move forward with it.
The world doesn’t owe you anything. Someone needs help, be helpful.
8. Learn to Smile
Smiling can get the entire room smiling. It is infectious and contagious.
Like all things in life, it requires practice. The more you smile, the easier it gets.
Try it, you’ll like it, and so will everyone else.
9. Leave the Past Behind
Get out of the past. The past is OVER, that’s why it’s called the past.
Live in the moment. Focus on what you are doing now.
10. Find Positive People to Hang Out With
This is number 2, AGAIN. This one is so important that I am also placing it in the number 10 position. Avoid negative people. They have the Plague, … and they will give it to you. They will drink your blood, drink your energy and ruin your day.
Run away from these energy vampires, … if you cannot run, … get a cab!
11. List 3 things That You Are Grateful For
Being grateful is to appreciate what you have. I know that your list is longer than 3, so get started. Many people don’t have as much as you do, show some gratitude.
The Benefits of Positive Thinking
The benefits of Positive Thinking are well known to all positive thinkers. They are too numerous to mention in his short blog. Perhaps you can contribute a few to this list in your comments. I thank you for this contribution. Some of the benefits that I notice are these.
- improved psychological health
- improved physical health
